Leisure Wear for When You’re on The Go

Hey Kittens! I hope you’re all doing wonderfully! I can honestly say that the past couple weeks have been a whirlwind for me. Since launching Sweet Dirt kids and looking into Spring/Summer’17.  I have spent a great deal of my time; on the phone, the computer, and in my car.

I have quickly learned  that although I’m in the fashion industry, my job is far from glamourous. I spend a great deal of time in my car, traveling to vendors, and fashion markets. So in this post  I decided to take a more leisurely approach to my outfit.  I have learned that when one has to  sit in a car for 2 to 4 hours one way, comfort is a top priority.

I’m wearing a check plaid long sleeve jacket, over my Sweet Dirt two piece crop top  and bottom set, which can be found here.  It’s a woven two piece crop top and bottom set, that features a mock neckline, long sleeves and cutouts in the knees. It’s quickly become one of my favorite outfits, because I love crop tops and the cutouts in the knees make me feel a little badass..lol! I also paired it with a beanie with a pompom that I found in the men’s department in Forever 21!

Well that’s it for today, I hope y’all have a great and productive week! I’ll no doubt be  spending the rest of my week in my car, headed to shows.  Feel free to let me know what you think in the comments section.

Always remember to be Fierce, Fabulous, and Fearless! *Muah*

Don’t Be Mad, Get Off Your Ass, and Do Something…

Hey Everyone! Since it’s a new year I have decided to embark on a new blogging journey and incorporate other parts to my blog. As much as I love fashion( I truly do) there are so many different parts to me.

My name is Jennifer Amber, I graduated from the  University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s Degree in History.  I am one semester away from a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre, a year from a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism, and last December I graduated with my Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Needless to say, I don’t believe in complacency, I was raised to always strive for excellence and personal growth. I’m always looking for ways to become a better version of myself.

10 Valuable Lessons I have Learned in Life!

Lob 4

Life is filled with ups and downs, highs and lows, but I have learned some pretty valuable lessons that I would like to share with you:

1. Things will not always go my way and that’s okay.

2.  People will hurt and disappoint me.

3. If I want a good pair of shoes, sometimes I will have to pay full price and that’s okay too.

4. No matter how old I get my parents will always have my back.

5. I will never, ever, ever dye my hair blonde again.

6. I will never be a 5’10 supermodel… =/

7. It’s totally fine to move on in life without people, because sometimes in order to grow. We have to leave some people behind.

8. Abandoning dreams does not make me a quitter or a failure.

9. My happiness is dependent solely on me and no one else.

10. Not everyone will like me and I have learned not to care. Life will still go on and and I will be just fine because I love me and that’s all that matters.

Sometimes Change is all you Need!

I feel like one of the greatest things about life is that we are able to change any  and everything about ourselves.

Lately I’ve been feeling like I’ve needed a change in my life, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. I was getting ready for class one day and I looked in the mirror and it hit me. I needed a new hairstyle, that is the quickest, cheapest,  and easiest way to change one’s self.

Since the seasons are changing I decided that it was time to do a little cosmetic change to myself and I couldn’t be happier with my new look. I’m excited to wear all my fall fashion and see what exciting things life has in store for me!! It’s funny how a new look can make a woman feel like a new person! I feel so much sassier and even more fabulous and fierce than ever (Which I didn’t think was possible)!

So here is it kittens, me and my new LOB  also known as the long bob!

Always remember kittens that change doesn’t have to be a bad thing, it can be liberating and exciting! Even the smallest change such as a  different hairstyle, or new hair color can make you feel like a newer and better version of yourself!
